This is the word, ya heard?


I'm off to Chicago in just over a week for some people, Lollapalooza, and Wizard World Chicago! SO if you're in the neighbourhood wouldn't mind saying HI CHAIR, tell me!!

I'm there for three weeks or so AND I EXPECT IT TO BE AWESOME (simply because of some knee-slapping passport troubles oh wow i dislike bureaucracy now and hobos stealin my purse)!!

Basically it shall consist of:
-me squatting in 's pad, eating a fuckton of sushi with her, and painting, drawing, and wandering the city all day with her
-seeing if their comic shoppes are better than mine (probably)
-tracking down mysterious Chicago comic artists i love (Ware, Tinder, Brown, I'M COMIN FOR YOU... kidding)
-skateboarding/longboarding and other shenadigans with
-clobbering/fighting, then adopting, and then doodling with
-perhaps finding some EH, EH?
-and punching REALLY HARD IN THE ASS (when he gets there too) and then we will drink and smoke big cigars. a lot.
-patting 's beard and laughing really hard
-finding me some Frank Lloyd Wright buildings ooh aah.
-Lollapalooza with some Daft Punk, Stooges, Lupe Fiasco, Modest Mouse etc etc oh fuck it's going to be hot in Chicago I am Canadian this is not going to work.
-PAINTING AT WWC HAHA COOL HUH? i'm a bit daft and i didn't get a proper (or to my liking) sketchbook done so what am I going to do at WWC for three days other than oogle nerds, PAINT so maybe someone will see my junk and be like lol you painted spidaman $500 for that okay. except I don't paint spidaman, who knows what i will paint if I do set up behind the table (maybe (also if i can bring paint on a plane, huh)). COME BUY SOME SKETCHES FROM ME OR SOMETHING or BUY SOME PULPO BOOKS. well really i've never been to a con so i don't know how this crap works but i'm looking forward to laughing.
-meeting a whole bunch of other classy people yay.

OTHERWISE I've been terribly unproductive. I have so many half-ideas and sketches, art has not working very well lately with 9.5 hour job a day, house-sitting for my parents (oh god there's nothing for food in the fridge but beer and ice cream my brother is the best grocery shopper ever, halp), HILARIOUS setbacks, and friends that party far more than we realize (but i still love them).

I have some ideas for future paintings in the least, I want to do a couple shows (or at least themes, haha shows) with a couple of themes I've been thinking of so I should get my ass on that. Plus my apartment is pretty bare for wall art right now its painful. Expect more paintings of word bubbles, creepy wolves, and hot men (never enough of that).

I want to try digital again it's been so long but I have a shiny new tablet (R.I.P. Wacom Graphire 2, 2001-2007) but somehow it doesn't feel as fulfilling as real media, especially paint. OHWELL.
