this is just a thought, though i'm fond of the idea in the future...
would anyone be interested in Paintin Commissions? i was thinking of opening up for, say THREE $50 commissions. I'm thinking a fair size would be 16" x 20", 1.5" deep stretched canvas? but i have varying sizes in stretched canvas, and canvas board, all the way from 3" x 5" inches, to 2' x 3' feet, anything else i could always look for or custom make i guess. i also have ANY size of masonite board availible to cut, which i enjoy because i can get different surface textures from it, depending on how i prepare it. thus prices would vary. sound fair? y/n?
why painting commissions? because i've taken quite a liking to painting and mixed media. i mostly work with acrylics now and my profs remark that i seem quite comfortable with them. plus i can't be arsed to do something digital anymore for the most part because holy shit its difficult with this 7 year-old ghetto tablet of mine (i've tried friends' brand spanking new tablets, and i want to kill myself now)
examples: well this is why this is just a thought so far, because i don't have a camera and i don't really have any of my recent paintings up (or good photos of) that i'm proud of. minus "EXCLAMATION" in my gallery, but that was just a small hour-and-a-half painting. so i guess this means that i'm gonna have to bust out some new paintings personally (this way i can decorate my house more HOORAY) and get them photographed somehow.
is there any subject matter you'd like to see painting examples of? characters? people portraits? animals? awesome? illustrative works?
also i just bought a shitload of turn of the century jazz for cheap. this is the life. i tells yuh. it's just swell
